We need your help to save GI payments!

Over 63 million Americans rely on Medicare. But possible cuts are coming on January 1, 2023, that will reduce Medicare patients’ access to specialty care.
Gastroenterology payments are set to be cut by at least 8.5% during a time when physicians are still dealing with financial fallout caused by the pandemic. This potential cut includes 4.5% from the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS), which Congress can eliminate, and 4% in statutory budget cuts due to automatic sequestration and PAYGO. This reimbursement cut would significantly threaten your livelihood and your patients’ access to high-quality GI care.
We encourage you to contact your Members of Congress and urge them to cosponsor H.R. 8800, the Supporting Medicare Providers Act of 2022, and support its inclusion in a year-end package. This bill would eliminate the 4.5% MPFS cut and ensure that Medicare patients continue to have access to quality specialty care.
